SSWD invites you to apply for the FACILITIES AND FLEET SPECIALIST POSITION.
The Facilities and Fleet Specialist is an advanced journey level position that performs the most complex duties related to the maintenance and repair of District facilities, security services systems, landscaping, and equipment.
- Maintaining and inspecting District-owned facilities, providing technical expertise regarding complex building maintenance and operational functions, and oversight of building maintenance performed by contractors.
- Maintaining the District’s fleet vehicles, including vehicle and equipment maintenance schedule and performing minor vehicle and equipment repairs, and maintaining the operation of a computerized system for tracking the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Reviewing service contracts and agreements, including preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and reviewing associated bids, negotiating as necessary, and
recommending contract award to the appropriate responsible bidder.
- Preparing budgets, including justifications for services, labor, materials, and related resources for facility and fleet projects and programs, preparing cost estimates for budget recommendations, monitoring and controlling expenditures, and overseeing approved equipment and accessory purchases.
