The Sacramento Suburban Water District is accepting applications for the following positions: Distribution Operator I and Distribution Operator II
Preference for filling current vacancies will be given to candidates who meet the required qualifications for Distribution Operator II.
Position: The Distribution Operator I/II performs a variety of duties in the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution facility systems, including repairing main and service line leaks and breaks; installing, repairing and maintaining water system infrastructure such as water mains, gate valves, meter connections, angle stops, service pipes, corporation stops and appurtenances; responding to customer complaints; and other duties as required. This position is considered a “first responder” during emergency conditions; candidates must live within thirty (30) minutes travel time of the District’s Corporate Yard (5331 Walnut Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95841).
