The Distribution Operator I is the entry level class with positions in the Distribution and Field Services Departments. Under close supervision, the position performs a variety of duties in the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution facility systems, including repairing main and service line leaks and breaks; installing, repairing and maintaining water system infrastructure such as water mains, gate valves, meter connections, angle stops, service pipes, corporation stops and appurtenances; responding to customer complaints; and other duties.
