The Sacramento Suburban Water District is looking to hire a Distribution Operator I. The Distribution Operator 1 is is the entry level class with positions in the Distribution and Field Services Departments. Under close supervision, the position performs a variety of duties in the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution facility systems, including repairing main and service line leaks and breaks; installing, repairing and maintaining water system infrastructure such as water mains, gate valves, meter connections, angle stops, service pipes, corporation stops and appurtenances; responding to customer complaints; and other duties. Individuals will be eligible to advance to Distribution Operator II upon completion of promotional requirements.
