The SSWD is accepting applications for the ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE TECHNCIAN position.
The Position: The Environmental Compliance Technician performs the full range of duties associated with environmental testing, investigation and other assessment activities to insure compliance with federal, state and local water quality and environmental laws and regulations, including assisting in collecting samples for bacteriological and chemical analyses from District system and construction projects; organizing and analyzing data to provide support for regulatory compliance reports; insuring documentation for sample collection follows chain-of-custody rules; creating work orders for sample collections; maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sampling, tests, flushing activities, customer complaints, and other activities; and other duties as required..
